Giulia Ledda
Sardinia (Italy) 1983. Artist trained since childhood in multidisciplinary directions: classical and contemporary dance; theater, singing and music (guitar, cajon, udu, loop station); photography and anthropological sciences.
Professional actress since 2007 for various companies in Italy and abroad, she participates in several international in situtheater projects in order to enrich her performative and pedagogical practice. Essential themes in his research: multi-culturality, gender and identity, human-nature relationship.
Her research is always in tension between the aesthetics of performative arts, and the contamination between arts and social sciences (anthropology, sociology).
Master in Applied Theater at the University of Rome, 2013.
She has been working in Brussels since 2017 as theatre director, stage musician, performer (Les Tanneurs, Les Brigittines, Kanal, BUDA Kunstencentrum, DANSAND Festival, Théâtre CreaNova). Founding member of KOAX Theater in 2018. Coming from a family of popular musicians (choral singing, traditional guitar) closely linked to the Sardinian musical and poetic heritage, her musical research draws on ethnic suggestions to develop in free improvisations contaminated by rock atmospheres and by the use of field recordings. Currently attending the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels in the Rythme section.
