In their offline and online performance works, trance dissolves social, cultural and political relations into a material fluidity. The spectator is invited to approach the skin of things where aliveness resides, where the empty spaces between atomic particles resonate with spirit. Nowadays, they are listening in to the voices of their artistic ancestors. They are reawakening the mysteries of the past and performing in honor of the goddesses and the gods; they are moved by art that erupts through divine inspiration and is understood as an act of devotion. They see this as a natural approach that hacks and diffracts the pessimisms and logical dead-ends of current times.
In these explorations, Irina and Asher are working closely with Robert Stein and Janneke Raaphorst. Individually, they have collaborated as performers, dancers, actors, writers and dramaturges with Mia Habib, Romas Zabarouskas, Benjamin Vandewalle Ohad Naharin and Batsheva Dance Company, Carte Blanche Dance Company, Yaniv Cohen, Heike Langsdorf, Rachel Monosov, Jura Shust, Yasmeen Godder and others.
